Dancin' Oxford 2010

The fourth Dancin' Oxford festival is coming up! Running from 16th February to 12th April, it will be a festival of lively, colourful and exciting dance performances and events. You will find dance on the streets and in shopping centres, on the stages of several theatres, in a gallery, on screen, in an Oxford University college, and in workshop spaces around the city!

TO SEE: Three new free dance events in the City Centre, Dance Bites and Street Science, and a Dancin' Oxford site-specific performance commission at Worcester College. Tavaziva Dance Company, Tangomotion and international show Pasión de Buena Vista. Dance Film Shorts, which for 2010 will include international dance films curated by South Hill Park. An interactive dance film installation in the Town Hall.

TO DO: Dance-A-Thon have-a-go taster sessions – back by popular demand, for three days, including workshops for 11 - 16 year olds only. Ragroof Theatre's Family Tea Dance Extravaganza – extremely popular last year!

TO CELEBRATE: Oxford’s very own vibrant dance world. See the work of Oxford-based professional dance artists, youth and community dance groups, including Fiona Millward, Oxford Youth Dance Company, Crossover Intergenerational Dance Company, Messy Jam, FreeFall Dance and Oxford University Dance Society, Step 2 Dance and Tac-au-Tac Dance Theatre.
